High-twisted wool is made with tightly twisted yarns, which act as microscopic "spring threads". This gives the fabric a natural ability to resist and quickly correct creases, e.g. after sitting for a long time, traveling, or packing the suit in a bag. This means that the jacket and trousers maintain a sharp, freshly ironed appearance for much longer throughout a long day.
The harder, more twisted fibers give the fabric more strength and durability compared to softer, loosely spun wool types. This makes it particularly well suited for suits that are used frequently - especially in areas exposed to friction, such as elbows, shoulders, seat, and trouser knees.
High-twist wool often has an open weave structure (also called Fresco or tropical), which increases air circulation in the fabric. This makes the fabric more comfortable to wear in warmer climates and during longer work attire, while also managing moisture effectively - without feeling clammy or heavy.
